KILAUEA LODGE, one mile from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, is a country inn located in Volcano Village. Colorful comforters, original Hawaiian art, the use of warm local woods, stained glass, and fresh flowers everywhere present a cheery welcome to overnight guests. Rooms range from $125 to $155 depending on size and if w/ or w/o fireplace. The 3700 foot altitude and sub-alpine rainforest climate combine for a little chill to the evening air so the central heating system is welcome. An outside hot tub provides perfect viewing of Hawaii's night skies. All rooms come with private bath and include a full breakfast.
The Lodge's dining room serves dinner nightly aside the huge historic Fireplace of Friendship. The room looks out to giant hapu'u ferns and native ohia trees. Albert Jeyte, chef/owner, is noted for his Continental cuisine melded with local flavors. Big island produce and fruit, range free beef, locally caught ahi and ono are a few of the fresh products used daily. Volcano even boasts its own winery, and makes a dry chablis ... the Symphony, also served at the Lodge. A gazebo on the property is ideal for weddings.
Overnight reservations are secured by a one night's deposit on V, MC, or check. There is a three day cancellation policy.
KILAUEA LODGE is located on the Island of Hawaii in the Hawaiian Islands. We are one mile from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Two airports serve the island Hilo (27 miles away) and Kona (100 miles away).
