In the 1930's, Dr. Lawrence Robrock built a country home called Creekwood. Owner Mary Lou Linnen refurbished and expanded the retreat to create the Creekwood Inn. Nestled amidst 30 acres of walnut, oak and pine trees near a fork in Willow Creek, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, yet the facilities and service are impeccable.
ELEGANT BED AND BREAKFAST GUEST ROOMS: retain the English Cottage flavor of the architecture. Each of the 12 large air-conditioned rooms has a distinctive traditional decor. Some have fireplaces, others have private terraces with French doors that overlook the grounds. Rooms feature one king or two queen beds, luxurious amenities and adjoining modern baths.
FINE DINING:The FERNS AT CREEKWOOD offers weekend guests a gourmet dining experience. Owner/chef Cheryl Flynn's creative menus feature light, clean flavors using local seasonal ingredients. A complementary continental breakfast features homemade breads, fresh fruit, juices and coffee.
THE CONSERVATORY: A two-story room with a cathedral ceiling offers a panoramic view of the landscaped pond and gardens. Fireplace, exercise equipment and an outdoor whirlpool spa melt away stress.
A PLACE FOR MEETINGS: the Conservatory can be used for large meetings, equipped with wet bar and audio visual equipment. Upstairs, the Willow Creek suite includes a smaller, fully outfitted meeting room.
EXPLORING THE AREA: Located near the southeastern shore of Lake Michigan, the Inn is an hour drive from Chicago's Loop and one-half hour from South Bend. It is near both the Indiana Dunes State Park and Warren Dunes State Park in Michigan. The grounds of the inn are laced with trails for summer hiking, cross-country skiing or bicycles. Spa packages and winter weekend packages available.
Michigan City's harbor, charter boat sport fishing, public beach, Blue Chip Casino, and Lighthouse Place Outlet Mall are 8 minutes away. Golf courses, riding stables, antiquing, wineries, orchards, and historical sights are nearby.
