Built in 1840 by a seafaring merchant, this historic country colonial Bed and Breakfast inn is traditionally New England, from its white clapboard siding and black shutters, to its original double-width floor boards. Most bedrooms have canopied four-poster beds, period antiques, and working fireplaces. You will enjoy the abundance of fresh flowers from our cutting garden throughout the inn.
From the inn it is only a short stroll to the harbor, shops and restaurants in town.
Start your day with the wonderful aroma of our home-baked muffins and tea breads, always part of our continental breakfast. If you are spending the day at the beach, we'll have a beach towel for your use. If you are playing tourist, ask us for our walking maps of each town. End your day in our landscaped garden sipping lemonade or an aperitif.
