A beautiful 21-mile bike trail winds its way through the Cannon River Valley from Red Wing to Cannon Falls, passing ski resort Welch Village at about the halfway point. Bring your bicycle and store it in our carriage house overnight. In the evening, there's the locally famous Shelton Theater, restored to reflect its original design, and featuring plays, concerts, musicals, and other attractions regularly.
A variety of excellent restaurants in the area offer fine dining or pub style fare. The famous St. James Hotel, only three short blocks away. If you like the excitement of casino gaming, Red Wing also features Prairie Island Casino, a short drive up river, where nationally famous entertainers are often presented.
