Experience the romance of a country house weekend (or week!). This country house is a meticulously restored Federal manor house overlooking 100 acres of rolling meadows dotted with Holstein cattle. Originally built in 1785, Vaucluse was named after the French country retreat of Petrarch, the great poet of courtly love.

House guests may also stay in an 1850's walnut log home or two guest cottages: one formerly a small art gallery; the other, an artist's studio built on the site of a former gristmill. All are in a village-like setting surrounding a large limestone spring.
Enjoy fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs, a swimming pool, and beautiful strolling grounds. Saturday night dinner available.
Southern Living Magazine said "Perhaps The Inn at Vaucluse Spring was our best total experience. The best news? This place is an unbelievable value." Rates for twelve rooms range from $135 to $250.
